Three Cottages in the Jämtland Forest - Bräcke, Sweden

Self-catering retreats on the edge of the forest, close to the Gimån river, one of Jämtland’s finest trout and grayling waters, with forest hiking and cycling on quiet roads and tracks.

Eastern Jämtland is not on most people’s radar, and that’s exactly what makes it worth coming to. Bräcke sits between the E14 and road 87, within reach of some of the best river fishing in the region, a network of forest trails, and a string of lakes that see very little traffic.

Jojo’s Lodge is three self-catering cottages at the edge of the forest, in the village of Nyhem, just outside Bräcke. Each cottage is fully equipped and independently run — you have your own entrance, your own outdoor space, and your own pace. No shared facilities, no other guests in your space. The nearest train station is in Bräcke, and we’ll pick you up if you’re travelling by rail.

Welcome to Jojo’s Lodge, a peaceful and nature-based retreat just outside Bräcke in the heart of Jämtland.

Älgen and Renen each sleep four across two bedrooms. Räven sleeps four in one bedroom plus two extra beds in the living room. Räven is dog-friendly, and available from June 2026. Book one cottage or take two or three for a group of up to twelve.

Train Pick-up Service

Since we are eager to promote sustainable slow travel, we can offer to pick you up at the Bräcke train station. Travelling here with train is convenient and affordable.

Cleaning Services

Final cleaning is included if you leave the cottage tidy, with dishes done and the space as you found it. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all cottages and the immediate areas. Dogs are currently not allowed.

Laundry Facilities

Each cottage is equipped with a washing machine and either a dryer or a drying closet for your convenience.

Fully Equipped Kitchen

Cook your favorite meals in our well-equipped kitchens. Outdoor grills are also available for each cottage, perfect for BBQ evenings. Renen also has a seating area for cozy nights by the fire.

Private Parking Space

Enjoy private parking in front of your cottage. Please note that EV charging points are not available at this time, due to insurance requirements.

Founded in 2024, Jojos Lodge is located in the forest country of eastern Jämtland, not far from Bräcke. A heaven for slow travel and slow living, with two holiday lets at the edge of the forest. Convenient location between the two main roads E14 and 87, off road 323.
